YEP – London Beyond the buzz: How is PropTech transforming careers in property?

From the way we fund, design and construct buildings to how we experience our homes and workplaces, we know PropTech is accelerating the speed of change. The impact technology is having on the built environment is vast, but what about its effect on the property industry and its professionals?

Come join us for this engaging panel discussion, where we will explore some examples of where PropTech is making a positive difference and what sort of skills we might need to develop to be able to inform and influence the sector in the decade ahead.

Our panel will be chaired by Emily Wright, Senior Associate in the Real Estate team at Cripps Pemberton Greenish. Emily will be joined by Paul Jeffries, Computational Design Lead at Ramboll, Andrew Knight, RICS International Data Standards Director and Gonzalo Marquesini, Founder of RenKap.

As Computational Design Lead at Ramboll, Paul is responsible for pushing forward the use of the computer as a design tool. He is passionate about leveraging computing power to enable new and more efficient approaches to design and to that end both develops custom software design technology and applies it to solve real design problems.

Andrew has been with RICS for over eight years and in his current role is responsible for the development and adoption of RICS’ new suite of Data Standards across valuation, property measurement, construction costs, and land title/cadastre.

Gonzalo is the founder and CEO of RenKap, a PropTech start-up working to help scale the delivery of affordable homes. He is an advocate for generation rent, affordable homes and the use of tech for good in the real estate sector. Gonzalo is a chartered surveyor and recently became the youngest ever Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
