YEP Bristol – How to Work a Room

Due to the nature of the event and to ensure participants get the most out of the training, tickets are limited to just 50. Don’t miss out on getting yours! Ticket sales will close this Friday at 10am.

You are more interesting than you think you are. Say goodbye to being embarrassed by job titles nobody understands and hello to getting noticed and remembered for how well you listen. This session focuses on how to beat the networking blues by getting comfortable telling stories about what you do, how you do it and why it matters.

Change your perspective and improve confidence with this ‘How to Work a Room’ Networking Workshop – a must attend event if you are a new networker or looking to become more effective at making lasting business connections and developing your career. This training aims to remove barriers and eliminate fears by providing focus, practical tools, tips and relevant techniques, with content also being shaped by participants’ questions and concerns. There will be lots of short practical exercises to help you think about networking in a new way. Following the training, you can practise your newly acquired skills over tea or coffee with the other participants.

Kat Quatermass, who will lead the session, works in corporate communications, software development, fundraising and more – with one thread tying all those things together – finding the right story. Her passion is helping people discover how to use stories to present information and make connections.

Starts 7.30am – 9am

Tickets are £20 per person and include:
Light breakfast and refreshments
Networking tips from expert Katharine Quatermass, Dreamfired
Interactive networking training
Post-seminar teas/coffees and networking

The event dress code is business smart casual. Don’t forget your business cards!

A special thank you to Clarke Willmott for hosting the seminar!

Please note we have made a commitment to our members that no recruiters or product sales companies will attend our events and registrations will not be accepted. Should you no longer be able to attend the event once you have purchased a ticket, refunds and/or cancellations are not available; however, we will be more than happy to transfer your ticket to a colleague.
