YEP – Race to the Top in support of LandAid 2019

For the first time ever YEP London is holding a mighty 33 floor / 599 step tower run in support of LandAid, the property industry charity working to end youth homelessness in the UK.

This year, around 86,000 young people in the UK will be homeless.

On Thursday October 17th 2019 over 140 runners will be taking on a single ascent of Chapter Spitalfields, London’s tallest purpose built student accommodation building, owned and operated by Greystar the global leader in rental housing to raise funds for LandAid.

Professionally managed and timed using racing chips attached to trainers, runners will finally be able to settle the office debate to ‘who can climb a skyscraper the quickest’.

We are asking each Yepper for a minimum fund raising pledge of £100 via a ‘Just Giving’ Page linked to a central events page with fundraising total.

LandAid tackles the root causes of youth homelessness, protects young people on the streets, provides accommodation and support for those who have been  homeless and gives a platform to young people to have their voices heard.

We are aiming for our YEPPER’s to collectively raise over £10,000 for LandAid!

Event Timing

The event will kick off at 5pm with a few words to everyone from representatives at YEP London, LandAid and our event Sponsors before Yeppers get their adrenaline pumping with a warm up by a fully qualified personal trainer.

At 5.30pm the first wave of Yeppers will be released in stages at the base of the 33 floors, taking on average 7-8 minutes for the single climb. Greeted at the top with a well earned glass of bubbly, participants can then enjoy the stunning views of London’s landmarks including St Pauls, Tower Bridge, The Shard & Canary Wharf.

Participants will then head down to the auditorium/central courtyard to receive their bespoke medal and race time plus post race networking drinks with the event drawn to a close at around 8pm.
