About the event
YEP Sheffield, in association with The Sheaf & Porter Rivers Trust, and sponsored by SLR Consulting Ltd, invites you to explore the hidden rivers of central Sheffield and learn about the history, biodiversity and future of these mysterious and sometimes unintentionally beautiful places.
Tours are led by experienced professional guides provided by local adventure training company, Howl Bushcraft, and will last approximately one and three-quarter hours.
Participants need to be confident walking on uneven, slippery surfaces with flowing water, and happy to crawl or stoop in certain sections for up to 2 hours.
Tours may be called off in the event of high-water conditions or a forecast of heavy rain. This may be at very short notice, we'll let you know if this is the case and the event will look to be rearranged.
We'll finish the tour at the pub where guests are welcome to purchase their own refreshments.
